A modular 12.7 mm heavy machine gun for engaging lightly armored, land, sea, and low-flying aerial targets at ranges up to 2,000 m.
The NSV 12.7 is a heavy machine gun designed to engage lightly armored land and sea targets, low-flying aircraft, firing points, and enemy personnel at ranges up to 2,000 meters. It can also be used in an anti-sniper role.
The modular design includes a quick-release barrel, with the largest component weighing 16 kg. Recoil is reduced by 95–98%, while chrome-plating of the chamber and barrel bore supports a barrel service life of up to 10,000 shots. The weapon includes a rail for mounting optical sights and operates from -50°C to +50°C.
The NSV 12.7 is intended for reliable sustained fire in demanding field conditions, with a stated failure probability of one shot per 10,000 shots.
